Shadow Ore[]

Shadow Ore is a rare ore, introduced by the Nether Expansion idea pack, that is found only in the Nether. While it may occur in veins of 1-6 blocks, it is still rarer than Diamond Ore. In addition, it requires a Blaze Pickaxe to mine and actually get something in return. When mined, it will drop 1 Shadow Fragment, which is used for crafting the Shadow Sword and Assassin Armor. When a player is mining Shadow Ore, they will have the Blindness effect as well, making it a bit dangerous to mine.

How to obtain[]

  • Mine with a Blaze Pickaxe enchanted with Silk Touch (for the ore block)
